Privacy Policy

YUH is an app for carnival masqueraders. This policy describes what the app collects, why it collects it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The app is published by MOBILE TIRE SHOP USA, LLC. Questions, corrections and deletion requests go to support@yuhcarnival.com.
The short version
- We collect what the app needs to put you on the road with your band, and not more.
- Your location is never shared with a band, or with anyone, unless you switch that on.
- Location sharing you switch on stops on its own at midnight that day.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We do not see your card number.
What we collect

They are stored privately and are never public on the web: while the listing is live, signed-in YUH members viewing it can see them; once it is withdrawn, sold or taken down, only you, a buyer who committed to it and YUH staff can. We remove location data from them where the image format lets us re-encode it, and we compare them across listings to spot the same photo used twice. |

Location
Location is the most sensitive thing the app touches, so it has its own rules.
- The app asks for location only when you use a feature that needs it.
- Your band cannot see where you are unless you switch that on. Sharing is off until you turn it on, and turning it off stops it.
- Sharing you switch on stops automatically at midnight that day. It does not quietly continue into the next.
- If you grant "Always", the people you are sharing with can still see you while the app is closed — but only for as long as sharing is on.
- We keep your last known position and a short history of positions so the map can show where you were a moment ago. You can ask us to delete these.
- Location is never used for advertising and is never sold.
Who can see what
- Your band sees your roster entry: your name, contact details, your section and costume, and what you have paid. It sees your location only while you are sharing it.
- People you share with see your location for as long as sharing is on.
- Trusted contacts you nominate can be given your location if you raise an emergency.
- Other masqueraders see only what you put on a shared surface — for example a photo you chose to share.
- Each band sees only its own masqueraders. A band cannot see another band's.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of processors to run the service, and they may only act on our instructions:
- Stripe — payments. Stripe receives your card details directly from your device.
- Apple and Google — delivery of push notifications.
- Our hosting provider, for the servers the app talks to.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
How long we keep it
- Account and registration records are kept while your account exists, and afterwards only where a payment or a band's records require it.
- Position history is kept only as long as it is useful for the map, and is not retained as a long-term record of your movements.
- Photos you never share are never sent to us at all, and deleting the app removes them with it.
- Resale proof photos are kept while the listing or a sale on it needs them. Identity documents are kept while your account exists. Deleting your account deletes both.
Your choices
- Permissions. Location, camera, photos and notifications can each be turned off in your phone's settings at any time. Parts of the app stop working; nothing breaks.
- Sharing. Location sharing can be switched off inside the app at any time.
- Access and correction. Ask us for a copy of what we hold, or to correct it.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your account and we will, keeping only what a completed payment obliges us to. How to request deletion.

Children
YUH is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. A masquerader registered by a parent or guardian is that adult's account.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. A change that meaningfully affects what we collect or who sees it will be announced in the app.
